Familiarity with Exam Pattern

First and foremost it is very important for candidates to be aware of the exam pattern of CMAT 2023 before they start their preparation. Details related to the CMAT marking scheme, number of questions, time duration etcetera are provided under the CMAT 2023 exam pattern.

Over the years the basic structure of the CMAT exam did not encounter many alterations and remained constant except in 2021. An additional optional section on Innovation and Entrepreneurship was added in CMAT 2021. Since last year, the additional section has been mandatory.

Last year CMAT exam analysis

There were two to 4 tricky questions overall. The QA and DI section of CMAT was easy and 17-18 questions are a good attempt. The Logical Reasoning section was of easy level too with questions from alphabets, series, blood relations, and more. Candidates who attempted around 15 questions in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship section are likely to clear the sectional cutoff.

What is CAT exam?

CAT exam full form is the Common Admission Test. It is a prestigious national-level MBA entrance exam. CAT 2022 exam will be conducted as a computer-based test. Common mistakes to avoid while filling CAT application form

Work experience in the CAT exam means the full-time work experience of candidates, particularly, after their graduation only. Candidates cannot mention any internship or apprenticeship taken before graduation.
If a candidate runs a business or is self-employed, they can provide the same in the work experience category with proper documents supporting the same. Non-production of the required documents can lead to disqualification in the further stage of CAT admission process.
Make sure you provide your name and other personal details correctly in CAT application form.
Mention the marks of all subjects including the additional subjects provided in your 10th or 12th class marksheet.
Convert your CGPA, obtained in graduation or 10th class, carefully into the percentage as per the guidelines.
Choose the CAT exam centre preference carefully. The allotted CAT exam centre cannot be changed once submitted.
