Eligibility

  • Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply. However, such candidates must submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent, based on the latest available grades/marks. The deadline for submission of the mark sheet and the certificate is October 15 every year. Non-fulfilment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
  • Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by LBSIM. Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.

A brief on XAT

XAT exam 2023 will be held on January 8 and the XAT registration process is ongoing at the xatonline website. The XAT 2023 exam date was officially announced by XLRI Jamshedpur on August 8 registrations started on August 10. Registrations for XAT exam 2023 will end on November 30, 2022. The XAT exam fee for this year is INR 2,000.

As per the XAT 2023 notification, no changes have been made in the exam pattern or structure, except for the essay writing section, which was reintroduced in XAT 2022. In XAT 2022, it appeared as a section in Part 2 of the paper. However, the score of Essay Writing was not taken into consideration at the time of score/percentile calculation. It was analysed at the time of shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) round. Whether XLRI will keep Essay Writing as a part of XAT 2023 or include in the PI process will be known when the official mock test releases.

A brief on CAT

CAT exam 2022 application last date is tomorrow. The deadline for CAT registration and application form submission earlier was September 14 but it was extended till September 21 (5:00 PM). Application fee has been raised again this year. The fee for General candidates is INR 2,300 whereas for reserved category candidates, it is INR 1,150. If the registration deadline is not extended, the CAT form correction window will open after September 21.

Imphal has been added to the list of CAT 2022 test city. Candidates who wish to take the exam in Imphal can now select it as a preferred test city in the CAT application form.

CAT exam will conducted by IIM Bangalore on November 27, 2022. It will be conducted in three sessions in 150 cities across India. CAT 2022 duration will be two hours and with sectional time limit of 40 minutes for each section. Candidates will have to solve 66 objective-type questions in the stipulated time.

A brief on CMAT

CMAT exam 2023 will be held in April. The exam dates will be announced by the NTA in February 2023. CMAT registrations will begin along with the schedule announcement. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can register and fill the CMAT application form online at the NTA website for a fee of INR 2,000 (INR 1,000 for women and reserved category students).

CMAT exam will be conducted at over 100 cities across India at designated examination centers. Candidates planning to appear for CMAT 2023, must start the exam preparation at least six months before.

A brief on MAT

MAT 2022 exam will be conducted on October 8 and 10 in IBT mode. Registration for the same has started from today. Candidates who wish to appear for the MAT in IBT mode can register. MAT September 2022 registration for IBT ended on September 13. MAT PBT exam date for September 2022 phase was September 4. The MAT CBT exam will be held on September 18. XAT: The Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level aptitude test conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission in MBA/PGDM programs in XLRI and other top MBA colleges like XIMB, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI Manipal, etc. The exam duration is 3 hours. NMAT: NMAT by GMAC is a national level entrance test conducted for MBA/PGDM admissions at NMIMS University and other reputed B-Schools in India as well as abroad. NMAT 2022 exam scores will be accepted by some of the top MBA colleges in India for MBA admission 2023-25 batch like NMIMS Mumbai; SPJIMR Mumbai (PGMPW); ISB (Certificate programme); VIT Vellore; K J Somaiya Mumbai; XIM Bhubaneswar and many other MBA colleges in India.

SNAP: Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is a common aptitude test conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to the MBA/PGDM programs. The exam is conducted once a year. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes or 1 hour.

OPENMAT: Students seeking admission to IGNOU’s MBA Operations Management programme are required to take the OPENMAT. OPENMAT is a national-level entrance examination for IGNOU’s MBA and PGDM programs. The OPENMAT exam is conducted twice a year, in January and July. It is mandatory for aspiring students to qualify for the OPENMAT exam in order to be considered for admission to any MBA or PGDM program under IGNOU.
